5 reasons to wake up at 5am
Peak your productivity
"Go to bed early and wake up early. The morning hours are good" - Jeff Bezos
Who even knew there was a 5 am?!? I consider myself a night owl, I'd rather stay up all night and work than to wake up at 5 am. However I noticed that my ability to work effectively was not healthy. I would miss things, there would be typos, I'd send emails without proofreading. And that overall makes my content look unprofessional.
So when I decided to change my bad habit, and TRY to wake up at 5 am, the very first time I could not believe how sharp my mind was!
I was able to work on beautiful content, not miss any emails, or typos and I proofread EVERYTHING!
Gain two more hours in your day
This is true! Waking up at 5 am, you gain more time for whatever you need to work on. If you have a 9-5, yes waking up early might seem difficult but if you want your side hustle to be your main gig... wake up at 5 am. If you have meetings through out the day, and won't have time to work on emails or content... wake up at 5 am. If you know that by waking up earlier will help you reach your goal... WAKE. UP. AT. 5 AM.
"It's easier to wake up early and work out than it is to look in the mirror each day and not like what you see." - Jayne Cox
If you're not happy with where you are, what you are doing, who you are right now... try waking up early and creating a vision board. Create a timeline for yourself on what you think you can accomplish within a certain amount of time. Those few extra hours every morning is a great start to building better habits. (coffee helps)
No more procrastination
There is no room for procrastination at 5 am. If you're having trouble with waking up move your phone off to a different part of your bedroom so you have NO CHOICE but to get up an turn off the alarm in the morning. Set your tv to turn on to a news channel at 5 am. There is no room for procrastination. I like to set my phone on my dresser to charge over night and I have to get up to turn off the alarm. Yes it may seem annoying at first but if this is something you feel you need to do for yourself and career. You'll do it! This is one of my biggest issues, I procrastinate to the point where I miss deadlines. (yes I know) I always tell myself I can do it later... imagine if I would DO everything I said I'd do later... what connections I'd have now, where those "laters" could have taken me... (mind blown)
"Success comes to those who have the willpower to win over their snooze buttons" - unknown
Wake up and succeed
It's game time! Let's take a look in the grocery store down the bread aisle... notice anything? All the bread is the same, but they all have different logos, one or two different ingredients. But they are all.. loaves of bread. The companies that created these brands didn't wake up at 10am... CEO's wake up and succeed. Yes we are all in our own aisle of bread, photographers, dancers, artists, singers etc. But the missing factor is what you can bring to that aisle. The missing ingredient is you, your flavor, and creativity. Simply wake up and think about how you can add to your success. I've created a vision board, and timeline. So far so good! I am honestly happy about where my life is going based on the timeline I gave myself. (haven't missed any deadlines)
Build a strong habit
5 am is a strong habit. Overall. When you are able to wake up every day and tackle the world before it tackles you is an accomplishment. No procrastination, get up and do it. Whether it's a work out, creating a video, scheduling posts, sending emails, or writing a book. 5 am is a strong habit. Once you have it down for a week, I feel your body will do the rest. Now this means that you have to live a healthy lifestyle, drink tons of water, and not go to bed late. You can't expect to hangout with friends on a Thursday night and then be up at 5 am ready to take on your day... Grant it everyone needs a break, time to rest, however it's important to look at the bigger picture. Get your goals in order. Fun will come.
"How we start our day determines how we create our life. Are you snoozing through your morning... snoozing through your life... and snoozing through your unlimited potential?" - Hal Elrod
WAKE UP EVERYBODY! It's time to start a new day! I hope you do wake up at 5 am! At least try it for a week, see where it takes you. Compare how you usually tackle your day with a 5 am wake up. If the 5 am wake up wins... Welcome to the 5 am club!
